In the study picture, Self-Portrait Dedicated to Dr Eloesser, Frida Kahlo included a written inscription, acknowledging her doctor friend who operated on her foot and helped restore her marriage. Through this inscription, Kahlo was referring to what type of Mexican folk art tradition
Explanation:
the year 1940. In the year 1939, Kahlo and Diego Rivera were divorced and this was said to have an influence on the type of paintings that she did during this time.
She was also influenced by many of the Catholic Christian iconography found in Mexico, where there is an emphasis on the crucifixion and the bloody details of it. She had many of these types of Christian art in her home and many of her self portraits follow a similar train of thought.
Self Portrait Dedicated to Dr Eloesser is, as the title suggests, dedicated to the doctor who treated the pain that was in her right foot during her stay in San Francisco. In the painting, there is a necklace of thorns which appears to be drawing blood from her neck. She is wearing an earring that looks like a hand and it is upside down. There is another hand near the bottom of the painting holding a white ribbon with words that are not very legible. She is wearing an updo with flowers in her hair. Behind her there are some large brown leaves and twigs and the sky is cloudy and is part of the brown monochromatic colour scheme. This could be a reflection of the emotions she was experiencing during this time.
The colour scheme used in Self Portrait Dedicated to Dr Eloesser is also influenced by decorative arts that are commonly seen in Mexico.
The combination of hues tend to be very unusual in her paintings, but this is due to the unusual combinations that are seen in nature. One of her favourite inspirations is the bougainvillea which can have a number of purple, pink and yellow combinations in its flowers.
Even though the title of the painting is known as Self Portrait Dedicated to Dr Eloesser, the original title was Autorretrato Dedicado al Dr Eloesser.
The media used was oil on masonite. In all of her self portraits such as The Broken Column and Roots, her face is always serious and this painting is no exception.
The size of the painting is 59.5 x 40 cm.

apparition photographer
Answer:
For nearly 150 years, the photographic process has been attributed with the apparitional ability to reveal discarnate beings and miraculous phenomena. In the nineteenth century, members of the Spiritualist movement embraced photography as a technological medium that provided evidence of the afterlife and contact with departed loved ones. Today, traditions of supernatural photography continue to thrive, particularly among the Catholic faithful at Marian apparition sites who regularly use cameras to document miraculous phenomena. This article examines the meaning and appeal of beliefs about photography as a revelatory technology, the popular desire for visible proofs of invisible realms, and the ways that the photographic process allows believers to ritually engage the otherworldly, the sacred, and issues of ultimate concern.

Many countries have “national theatres” that are handsomely subsidized by the federal government. While the United States has the National Endowment for the Arts, which provides funding to arts organizations around the country, there is no theatre designated as a “national theatre.” Do you think there ought to be? Why do you think there isn’t? Why might having such a theatre be a good thing? Why a bad thing?
Answer and Explanation:
It would be important for countries, not just the US, to have a national theater, as it would value local artistic production, allowing actors of this type of art to have a more structured production and allowing actors, directors and all theater professionals to have a greater stability to develop this kind of art. However, countries create a national theater because this type of art does not have an audience as large as the audience for other types of artistic production, such as cinema, for example. This lack of popularity is the main negative point in producing a national theater, as this would demand an expense, with no certainty of economic return. However, the positive point is that the creation of a national theater would help popularize the theater and would make this type of art less elite, as it would be more accessible to the general public.
