i found it rather odd

to have expected such a great memory

of laughing and smiling

rather than

laughs and smiles on a screen

as the white light glows faintly against the face of those i love

and as i grab my own and let the white light envelope me as well

i am reminded of why i let myself bask in the white

because it holds memories

of years past

so maybe i shouldn't be bliss the strain it puts on eyes

or the times it takes away when laughs and smiles should have been

but should i ignore the joy it brings?

i found it rather odd

that i heard others saying it was inhumane to spend so much time warped in a world where everything are hearts, likes, and comments

when those slanderers who cry such slanders

encase themselves in the same habit

not too long after i've put away my phone

in a world of criticism and hypocrisy

can one ever really find a just?
