Hi. Although you have not presented the text these questions refer to, from the context of the questions we can see that you are referring to chapter 7 of "Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass." So I hope the answers below can help you.
1. They treat Douglass kindly, as Douglasss was helping them finish the activities they were doing. They like Douglass and like his presence, so much so that they encourage him to flee to the north of the country, where slavery is prohibited.
2. The most important part of this part of the book is when Douglass hears the word "abolitionism" spoken by the Irish. This part is important because it shows how Douglass first came into contact with a concept that would be so important and so relevant in his life.
We must remember that "Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass" is the book where Frederick Douglass tells the story of his life as a slave and how he managed to become a free man through the education of self-knowledge.
When Stanton writes, "Such was the consistency of an assemblage of philanthropists!" (paragraph 7), she uses the rhetorical device of O a. repetition. O b. hyperbole. O C. sarcasm. O d. analogy
Answer:
OC. Sarcasm.
Explanation:
Elizabeth Cady Stanton recounts her experience attending the World Anti-Slavery Convention that occurred on June 12, 1840. She reveals how the very aspect of the Convention was to talk of freeing slaves but the men refused to accept the female gender as their equal, which is ironic.
In paragraph 7, Stanton writes "Such was the consistency of an assemblage of philanthropists", referring to the abolitionists who would fight for slaves' freedom while refusing to accept their women as equals. This statement is a sarcastic and ironic tone.
Thus, the correct answer is option C.

Lol, I'll give 15 points for this.
Imagine it is 1934. Twelve-year-old Wong Kai Chong leaves China and climbs aboard an enormous ship that will be his home for nearly a month. He journeys across the Pacific Ocean with dozens and dozens of other people who dream of a new life in America. Kai's father is waiting for him in San Francisco.
2Kai's heart leaps when he finally sees the beautiful California coast. Kai knows he isn't safe yet, though. Before Kai can become an American, he must pass an interview with the immigration officers. Kai is detained, or held, at an immigration station near San Francisco called Angel Island. He waits there, like a prisoner, until the immigration officers decide whether or not to let him into America.
3During Kai's interview, the immigration officers don't seem to care that he is young, scared, and far away from his home and family for the first time. “What is the name of your village in China?” the officer barks. “How many rooms were there in your house? What did the chairs look like?” Kai knows that his answers must match what his father said before him. If they don't, he will be sent back to China.
4Kai's story is told in the book, Kai's Journey to Gold Mountain. It is the fictional account of the challenges faced by more than 175,000 Chinese immigrants who came to America between 1910 and 1940.
Coming to America
5It wasn't always so hard for Chinese people to enter the United States. The first Chinese immigrants, almost all men, arrived during the California gold rush in the mid-1800s. Gold Mountain, as they called America, was full of opportunities for Chinese immigrants. Many worked at farming, mining, and building railroads, and they were able to send money home to their families in China. Compared to the hard life that many people had in China, life on Gold Mountain was a dream.
6As more and more Chinese immigrated, however, America became less welcoming. There was a job shortage in the United States, and American laborers resented the Chinese for being willing to work for lower pay. In 1882, the U.S. government passed the Chinese Exclusion Act, making it almost impossible for Chinese workers to enter the United States. There was one group of Chinese, however, that could not be legally kept out of the country—those with a parent who was a United States citizen. Just as it is now, American law guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the United States and to anyone whose parent is a U.S. citizen, regardless of their birthplace.
7Of course, many Chinese who wanted to immigrate to the United States did not have a parent here. Their solution was to become “paper sons” and “paper daughters” by buying fake papers showing a parent residing in the United States. They could do this because Chinese who had already entered the United States would often list many people from their village or town as their sons and daughters in an effort to help others enter. This was especially easy to do after 1906, when a great earthquake in San Francisco destroyed most, if not all, of the official records.
Immigration Station
8In 1910, an immigration station opened on tiny Angel Island outside of San Francisco, off the California coast. The purpose of the Angel Island Immigration Station was to enforce the Chinese Exclusion Act. As Chinese entered San Francisco, they were inspected. Those who did not enter the country immediately were sent to Angel Island for further questioning. Angel Island was very different from the immigration station on Ellis Island—the New York entry port on the other side of the country.
9In contrast to Ellis Island, where immigrants were processed and allowed entry fairly quickly, the goal of the officials at Angel Island was to deport, or send back, as many people as possible (see table). They asked the newly arrived immigrants detailed and difficult questions about the Chinese village they had come from or their family history. They tried to trap the immigrants into giving answers different from those of their resident “parent.” Immigrants were detained on the island for weeks, months, and even years. Immigrants whose witnesses lived in the eastern United States could wait an especially long time. Detained immigrants spent most of their time crowded into military-style barracks, or bunkhouses. It was a lonely, frustrating, and often depressing experience.
Powerful Poetry
10Angel Island's doors finally closed in 1940 when China and the United States became allies during World War II (1939–1945). Then, in the 1970s, a park ranger found poetry painted, written, and engraved on the walls of the barracks. The poems describe the boredom, sadness, and even anger that many people felt during their time at Angel Island.
Answer:
They could not understand the writing
Explanation:
Logically, this is the most likely option. The chinese language is very complex, and is comprised of complex symbols, very much unlike the english language. Though the immigration officers might have communicated a lot with chinese people, it was unlikely that they understood the writing, or even wanted to (based on the attitude they had).
Process of elimination:
C - It never says that there was grafitti at Ellis island, therefore we can deduce this is not the answer (most likely)
D - The fact that the immigrants were from china is important, but does not explain why the officers dismissed the writing as grafitti.
B - This is the next most likely option, but I chose A over it because it makes the most sense (logically) Its hard to pick though, because it also never states that the writing was in chinese characters, but I chose A anyway because there's a higher chance they would write something in their own language to either, 1, prevent the officers from understanding, or 2, prevent the writing from offending any officers (which would have been possible, had they understood what it meant in english)
There's a lot more reasons why A is the best choice, but heres a basic rundown.

When writing a speech for a Public Speaking course, it is important to:
A Understand the occasion and think about your topic.
B Consider your audience and get them involved.
C -Outline your speech, use visuals and prompters, and make sure to practice to stay within the time limit.
D All responses provided.
Answer:
D. All responses provided.
Explanation:
When writing a speech, it is important that the author cares about some factors that can make the speech more interesting to efficiently attract an audience and stimulate discussion involving the topic addressed.
For this, it is important for the author of the speech to understand the occasion on which the speech will be presented and to think about how the topic of that speech, that is, the subject, can be presented within that occasion in an appropriate way and with the correct and appropriate language . The author must also think about the audience he wants to reach with the speech, that is, the target audience. When thinking about it, the author will, again, be able to think of appropriate words so that this audience understands not only the topic covered, but the author's position.
When thinking about all these things, it is important for the author to make an outline, where he will organize his ideas, establish the subtopics and build the structure of the speech. It is also important that the author think about all the resources he will use to make his presentation more striking, dynamic and interesting, all within the estimated time, which should not be exceeded.

Answer:

Explanation:
For others, their experiences limit their ability to understand the experiences of others. Others simply do not care. Hence, one must accept the proposition that a difference there will be by the presence of women and people of color on the bench. Personal experiences affect the facts that judges choose to see. My hope is that I will take the good from my experiences and extrapolate them further into areas with which I am unfamiliar. I simply do not know exactly what that difference will be in my judging. But I accept there will be some based on my gender and my Latina heritage.
