O b. a review of a jazz festival that took place recently in your community
Clear my choice

E
Answer:
a
Explanation:
b isn't a reliable source because the person that's giving you the review probably won't tell you how jazz developed as a musical form. A review is about a person's experience about some place. A documentary will tell you how Jazz developed as a musical form because a documentary will tell you more about how Jazz developed as a musical form than some random person on the internet.

Which method is Sora using to present this idea?
Sora is writing an informative essay on the history of
television. Sora finds a source that discusses why the
invention of the television was so important to the
people living during that time. Sora directly states the
author's ideas in his essay and provides an in-text
citation at the end of the statement.
O outlining
O paraphrasing
O
quoting
O summarizing
Answer:
The method Sora is using to present the idea is:
C. quoting.
Explanation:
When we quote someone in an essay, we use that person's words. We literally faithfully reproduce or replicate what that person has said or written. Of course, when quoting, we give them credit by citing their name and work. That is exactly what Sora is doing.
Notice how different quoting is from paraphrasing and summarizing. Paraphrasing means we say the same thing, but using our own words. We should still give the person credit, though. Summarizing means we only mention the most important ideas in a shorter way.
Outlining is not a way of presenting , but simply a way of organizing your ideas for the essay before you start writing it.

Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow:
Doctor Pascal
by Emile Zola
In the heat of the glowing July afternoon, the room, with blinds carefully closed, was full of a great calm. From the three windows, through the cracks of the old wooden shutters, came only a few scattered sunbeams which, in the midst of the obscurity, made a soft brightness that bathed surrounding objects in a diffused and tender light. It was cool here in comparison with the overpowering heat that was felt outside, under the fierce rays of the sun that blazed upon the front of the house.
Standing before the press which faced the windows, Dr. Pascal was looking for a paper that he had come in search of. With doors wide open, this immense press of carved oak, adorned with strong and handsome mountings of metal, dating from the last century, displayed within its capacious depths an extraordinary collection of papers and manuscripts of all sorts, piled up in confusion and filling every shelf to overflowing. For more than thirty years the doctor had thrown into it every page he wrote, from brief notes to the complete texts of his great works on heredity. Thus it was that his searches here were not always easy. He rummaged patiently among the papers, and when he at last found the one he was looking for, he smiled.
For an instant longer he remained near the bookcase, reading the note by a golden sunbeam that came to him from the middle window. He himself, in this dawnlike light, appeared, with his snow-white hair and beard, strong and vigorous; although he was near sixty, his color was so fresh, his features were so finely cut, his eyes were still so clear, and he had so youthful an air that one might have taken him, in his close-fitting, maroon velvet jacket, for a young man with powdered hair.

Time really change pretty fast to be honest, and if it is change fast, kids from my generation and the new generation are changing fast every day, every hour that past by and this new gen is always bringing new morals and values to all of us. Being part of this generation, I have experienced a lot of things that is going on in school for example: Teens are becoming more involved in drinking alcohol and smoking.
In fact almost everyone starts to drink alcohol before way before graduating from high school and even worse is that 1/2 of this kids have tried by 8th grade. And 44% of teens have tried cigarettes by the end of high school. They always say that "I do it because doing this makes me look cool" but is this really alright tho? This is the message that kids now a days are reflecting to others and another cause of this is new gen music as well as movies. Modern music of today revolves around drugs, drinking, partying all night etc. Movies and TV shows glorify being arrested and drinking or smoking. Every four to five teens arrested are also very common because they are drunk or consuming to much drugs at the time. Is this really what we want for the new generations of kids?
Many people think that the only people harmed by tobacco use are smokers who have smoked for a long time. The fact is that tobacco use can be harmful to everyone specially teens. 90% of smokers start before age 18. About 1/3 of them die of smoking-related disease. Other may experience the same health problems as adult smokers.
