Why is the medical examiners autopsy completed within 24 to 48 hours of a homicide?
Answer:
The coroner may order a post-mortem examination to determine the cause, identification of the remains, document injuries, and to assist in determining the manner of death. A coroner usually orders a forensic autopsy if foul play is suspected.
Explanation:
The 24- 48 window is a good time for everything to still be the same it was after the incident therefore no more further injuries could happen and everything is still "fresh".

Answer:

Isaac lives in a country where when the police accuse someone of criminal behavior, that person is brought into a court. Then, a judge or group of judges determine whether that person is guilty of the crime they are charged with. What is an accurate description of this practice?
Answer:
This is called a trial. Where the prosecutor tries to prove you guilty, and the defender tries to prove you are not guilty. This is the most common form of being charged for a crime. If you are found innocent you will be let go, but if you are found guilty you will be charged and sentenced.

Mr Ali needs to build a swing for her daughter. He needs 9 feet of rope for each side of the swing and 6 more feet for the monkey bar. The hardware store sells rope by the yard. How many yards does he need?
Answer: 8 yards
Explanation:
Based on the information given, since Mr Ali needs 9 feet of rope for each side of the swing and 6 more feet for the monkey bar, the total feet needed will be:
= (9feet × 2) + 6 feet
= 18 feet + 6 feet.
= 24 feet
Since 1 yard = 3 feets
Therefore, the amount of yards in 24 feet will then be:
= 24/3
= 8 yards
Therefore, Mr Ali needs 8 yards of rope
Investigating Crime Scenes
Edmond Locard and his Principle of Exchange
Dr. Edmond Locard was the director of the world's first forensic lab in Lyon, France. In this capacity, her came up with what we now call Locard's Principle of Exchange. The idea is that whenever a person/place/thing comes in contact with another person/place/thing, there is some exchange of trace evidence. He also noted that the intensity and duration of the contact, and nature of the materials determine the extent of the transfer. For example, if you bump into someone on the sidewalk, there will be less exchange than if you spent four hours in their home.
Lessons from the JonBenet Ramsey Case
JonBenet Ramsey
The 1996 homicide (murder) investigation of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey provides valuable lessons in proper crime scene investigation procedures. From this case, we learn how important it is to secure a crime scene. Key forensics evidence can be lost forever without a secure crime scene.
In the Ramsey case, the police in Boulder, Colorado, allowed extensive contamination of the crime scene. Police first thought JonBenet had been kidnapped because of a ransom note found by her mother. For this reason, the police did not search the house until seven hours after the family called 911. The first-responding officer was investigating the report of the kidnapping. The officer did not think to open the basement door, and so did not discover the murdered body of the girl.
Believing the crime was a kidnapping, the police blocked off JonBenet's bedroom with yellow and black crime scene tape to preserve evidence her kidnapper may have left behind. They didn't, however, seal off the rest of the house, which was also part of the crime scene. Then the victim's father, John Ramsey, discovered his daughter's body in the basement of the home. He covered her body with a blanket and carried her to the living room. In doing so, he contaminated the crime scene and may have disturbed evidence. That evidence might have identified the killer.
Once the body was found, family, friends, and police officers remained close by. The Ramseys and visitors were allowed to move freely around the house. One friend even helped clean the kitchen, wiping down the counters with a spray cleaner—possibly wiping away evidence. Many hours passed before police blocked off the basement room. A pathologist did not examine the body until more than 19 hours after the crime took place.
Ransom Note
To this day, JonBenet Ramsey's murder remains unsolved.

What states can I legally own a pet bat?
Answer: Alabama, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin! A bat in the wild can live up to 30 years while only a few pet bats will make it to a year. Bats need special care, housing, and nutrition. While you should always treat any bat you come into contact with as a wild animal, they are really gentle in nature. They aren't going to bite you to suck your blood. This is why when bats are startled they tend to flock out of that location as swiftly as they can. They don't try to attack humans on their way through.
Explanation: I am pretty sure these are the places you can keep exotic animals such as bats! Have a good day!!!! Hope you get a bat :)))

Explanation:
A woman was arrested outside of a house shortly after she had broken in and stolen some jewelry. She was indicted for larceny and later for burglary. She was tried on the larceny indictment and convicted. Thereafter, she was brought to trial on the burglary indictment. Relying on the Double Jeopardy Clause of the Constitution, the woman moves to dismiss the indictment. Should the motion be granted
Answer:
Yes, the motion should be granted.
Explanation:
Double jeopardy prohibits different prosecutions for the same offense. The woman had already been tried and charged with larceny, which requires the same proof needed to prove burglary.
An example of this in law is if a man were convicted of joyriding, he cannot later be charged with auto theft because to prove joyriding, a prosecutor wouldn't have to prove anything more than what's required to prove auto theft. They are the same crime in these circumstances.

Diabetic Coma in Car Court Session
Law(s) broken : Driving Without License
Hello, the case I’m presenting to the court is for John and Jane Doe. This case is because Jane Doe drove her husband home because he was having a diabetic seizure in the car and his wife stopped the car and was in the process of driving him to the car when a police officer stopped them. I would like to start off with addressing that it is legal to break the law of murder. One of the biggest law as it includes taking a human’s life. It is legal to break that law if, and only if by breaking the law you save a human life or defend yourself. In this case the witness broke a law because their husband was having a diabetic coma. At most time during this case if there is only a single person in the car and that very person has a diabetic coma, it could cause destruction of property, a chain reaction car crash, and even the person’s life could be lost. Since there were 2 people in the car Ms. Jane stopped the car and was in the process of driving him to the hospital when a police officer stopped them. In the video she took you can see her and in the corner the navigation is set to the nearest hospital. I have asked for the body cam footage to present as deeper evidence and they agreed. Even in the body cam footage you can see that as well. There have been many cases in which the following case has been presented to the court in various different situations and have been exempted and excused of all charges. The law is to protect the people of America and have order, but in this case the law could cause a human life to be lost instead. Your honor, I believe that we can agree that the laws were set to protect the lives of Americans and to have order. What kind of order is there when you have about 5 families who have a loved one or even worse their entire family who has died, simply because of one person. The laws are meant to being justice to Americans, but what kind of justice is there in multiple people dying because of one man who didn’t even know what was happening. Thanks to Ms. Jane that didn’t happen, thanks to Ms. Jane, the possibility of that day being known as the day that many people lost their lives and all because one man who’s wife simply turned a blind eye to even though he was having a diabetic coma. But instead she followed the law even though she knew it would mean having many human lives lost. Possibly even hers. So I stand here in front of the court not asking you to rule for me, but instead to put yourself in the situation. What will you do, break the law to save other people. Or stand with the law even though it means you will probably end up killing others. Your honor, I don’t think there is much more to say. So with that, I rest my case. Hoping that this is enough to suit the court.
