“All families should own a pet” I agree with this statement heavily because pets can be very good for a small child or even young teens and adults. Pets can be helpful to humans with mental health issues and can be good companionship for those kids and teens who spend lots of time alone. Kids who spend time alone a lot because parents work would benefit a lot from a pet and would even help them develop social skills to use in the future. A pet is not just a pet it’s also a friend and everyone could be fit from having a good friend.

Water Efficiency Strategies

Drinking water systems can implement water efficiency measures and still deliver an unchanged or improved level of service to consumers while reducing overhead costs. Improving water efficiency reduces operating costs (e.g., pumping and treatment) and reduces the need to develop new supplies and expand our water infrastructure. It also reduces withdrawals from limited freshwater supplies, leaving more water for future use and improving the ambient water quality and aquatic habitat.

More and more utilities are using water efficiency and consumer conservation programs to increase the sustainability of their supplies. Case studies demonstrate substantial opportunities to improve efficiency through supply-side practices, such as accurate meter reading and leak detection and repair programs, as well as through demand-side strategies, such as conservation-based water rates and public education programs.
Supply-Side Strategies for Water Suppliers

Accounting for Water—Accounting for water is an essential step toward ensuring that a water utility is sustainable. This is best accomplished when water systems meter use by their customers. Metering helps to identify losses due to leakage and also provides the foundation on which to build an equitable rate structure to ensure adequate revenue to operate the system.

Water Loss Control—National studies indicate that, on average, 14 percent of the water treated by water systems is lost to leaks. Some water systems have reported water losses exceeding 60 percent. Accounting for water and minimizing water loss are critical functions for any water utility that wants to be sustainable.

Demand-Side Strategies for Water Suppliers

Water Rates—One of the most effective ways to reduce demand for water is to establish rates that escalate as more water is used.

Consumer Efficiency—Consumers can reduce water use by installing water-efficient products or employing efficiency practices, such as turning the water off while brushing teeth or running washing machines only when they are full. Water systems can promote these actions through consumer rebate and education programs.

EPA's WaterSense Program—WaterSense seeks to protect the future of our nation's water supply by promoting water efficiency and enhancing the market for water-efficient products, programs, and practices. Visit the website for information on water-efficient products and practices, as well as utilities who offer rebates for WaterSense labeled products. Water systems can also apply to become a WaterSense program partner and receive tools they can use to promote their own water efficiency programs.

The earliest known villages in ancient Egypt date back over 5,000 years. These villages became part of two kingdoms. One of these kingdoms controlled the villages on the Nile Delta. The other controlled the villages south of the delta. The delta area was known as Lower Egypt. The southern region was known as Upper Egypt.
Egyptian civilization began about 3100 B.C. King Menes, a king from Upper Egypt, conquered Lower Egypt. He then united the country and formed the world's first national government. King Menes founded Memphis as the capital. (This is near present-day Cairo.)
King Menes also created the first Egyptian dynasty. A dynasty is a series of rulers in the same family. Over 30 dynasties ruled ancient Egypt. The first two dynasties ruled for about 400 years. During this period, the Egyptians developed irrigation systems, plows, and a system of writing. The years of the third and fourth dynasties were known as the Old Kingdom, or the Pyramid Age. As the name suggests, this period was best known for the building of the great pyramids. By the time of the fifth dynasty, the king’s power began to weaken. High priests and government officials fought for power. Most of the next five dynasties had weak rulers.

Which statement best summarizes this passage?
A.
Ancient Egypt began 5,000 years ago, when early villages became part of two kingdoms. These kingdoms controlled different parts of the Nile River. The kingdoms were known as Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt.
B.
The crowning achievement of ancient Egypt was the great pyramids, which were built during the Pyramid Age. The rulers of Egypt at this time were from the third and fourth dynasties, or the "Old Kingdom."
C.
King Menes was the first king of Egypt. He combined the kingdoms of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt into one kingdom. He formed the world's first national government and founded the capital city of Memphis, Egypt.
D.
Egypt's history goes back 5,000 years, to early villages. These villages later became two kingdoms, which became one kingdom. The kingdom of Ancient Egypt was ruled by many dynasties in its long history.

Percy should go after Hades to rescue his mom because Zeus is already fighting with Poseidon and believes he stole the lighting bolt. Trying to explain things to Zeus would only make it seem like Percy stole the bolt.

It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded and filled from one end to the other with rain, with the drum and gush of water, with the sweet crystal fall of showers and the concussion of storms so heavy there were tidal waves that came over the islands. A thousand forests had been crushed under the rain and grown up a thousand times to be crushed again. Write an argumentative essay supporting or opposing music education in schools.

if u don't answer you're getting reported. btw

Answers

Answer:

MUSIC EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS

Among the various lessons taken at the schools include music and art. This provides an opportunity for the learners to develop their musical and artistry abilities as well as improve their creative capacities. However, there has been controversy over this subject where there have been recommendations that it should be scrapped from the syllabus. In fact, the budgets have been cut where less money is allocated to music studies. This controversial issue of scrapping music from the curriculum is the subject of this essay as it seeks to dissect the rational behind this move. This essay seeks to prove that music should remain a school subject.

First of all, this essay disagrees with the move to scrap music studies since it is a vocation like any other, and can be used by an individual to achieve economic stability. Similarly, music helps to discipline individuals so that they can become productive members of the society (Guth, 1). Therefore, depriving talented individuals the chance to develop their talent can be quite unfair to them. Therefore, the discipline should be promoted rather than put down,

Schools are supposed to nurture the talents and strengths that individuals have. Therefore, these institutions should be geared towards realizing the talents in the learners and nurturing these talents to maturity. Levy (1) observes that performance in music at school was much better than other subjects. This means that probably the individuals are more interested in musical studies. Therefore, rather than scraping it from the syllabus. It would be in the interests of the students if the subject is upheld. Otherwise, the education system would be held responsible for inhibiting the interests of the learners. Schools should not limit the scope of the learners. They should open up the avenues for them to achieve their dreams. As such, scrapping music studies is not a way of opening these channels, but it is a sure way of inhibiting the learners.

Children’s Music Workshop (1) observes that music is academic, physical, emotional and a lifetime affair. As such, when children are involved in musical activities, they benefit in all aspects of their lives. Eliminating music studies from the syllabus is therefore a way of limiting the children’s development activities. This should not be the case. If schools advocate for physical education and physical exercises, then there is no reason as to why music should be sidelined. After all, both do serve the same purpose in the lives of the learners. There is also a logical reason as to why music should be retained. If the famous celebrities and music idols never learnt something about music at school, then it not clear what kind music the world would be having today.

There is also the other side of music studies. In as much as it is important for the development of the students, musical information is available from various sources. Therefore, it does not have to be offered necessarily at school. The individuals can get musical information at home, through the internet, from the radios as well as the televisions. Furthermore, there are music schools that teach music as a profession. As such, it should be taken as a vocational training, not a school subject. Therefore, those interested in music can go through their foundation studies then proceed to take music later as their profession. This eliminates the need for having music as an entertainment in my view>▪︎<
