Car horns honked, tired screeched, and there was general mayhem as people strained to avoid the giant head that had just plopped right down in the middle of the road. A few minutes later, the authorities arrived. To everyone's shock, the stone face declared:

Scratch my nose, and I shall disappear as soon as my need is satisfied!

Mostly everyone just blinked in confusion, but eventually a few bright minds grappled with some ropes and started climbing to the middle of the statue's face.
