Describe the consequences of Hitler (Germany) and Stalin’s (Russia) early alliance

Answers

Answer 1
They were creating an alliance despite the fact that Communists (Stalin) hate Fascists (Hitler) and vice verse. They set aside their differences in order to come together since they were both powerful dictators that controlled menacing nations.

They banded together publicly under the Axis Powers, but they also secretly planned to split Poland between them. They (Stalin and Hitler/Russia and Germany) both promised and agreed to not attack the other in a treaty...but Hitler broke the treaty and attacked Stalin and the USSR...(This is known as one of Hitler’s greatest mistakes.)

This is what caused Stalin and the USSR to join the Allied Powers. (Great Britain, France and later, USA.)

This left Hitler’s Germany to be fighting only beside Mussolini’s Italy. They also had an alliance with Japan, but since Japan was so far away, they weren’t involved in the World Wars much and focused solely on conflicts outside of Europe.

which of these major changes was the most important during the industrial revolution

Answers

Answer:

The Industrial Revolution was the transition from 1760 to 1820 to 1840 to new production processes in Europe and the United States.

Explanation:

This transition consists of the transfer from manufacturing to machinery, new processes for the production of chemical substances and iron production, the growing application of steam and water, machine tools, and the increase of the mechanized factory system. The Industrial Revolution also led to an ever-increasing population growth rate.

An important turning point in history is the Industrial Revolution; almost every aspect of the life of the day has somehow been affected. The average revenue and population, in particular, began to show continuous growth without precedent.

Mechanized steam-driven cotton spinning increased worker output by a factor of approximately 500. The power loom increases a worker's output by more than 40 times.

Damp engines' efficiency increased so that between 1/50 and 1/10 of their fuel was used. They were adapted to industrial use by adapting stationary steam engines to rotary movement.

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

It is an incorrect example of an MLA in-text citation that "Horses are very useful animals" (Smith 6).

What is citation?

A citation serves as a pointer to a source. In order to acknowledge the importance of other people's works to the topic under discussion at the location where the citation appears, a citation is more specifically defined as an abbreviated alphanumeric phrase embedded in the body of an intellectual work that marks an entry in the bibliographic references part of the work.

What is typically thought of as a citation is, in general, the result of the union of the in-body citation and the bibliographic entry (whereas bibliographic entries by themselves are not).

Citations serve many crucial roles. Correct attribution of insights to earlier sources is simply one of these goals, despite the fact that their functions for ensuring intellectual honesty and supporting claims are often prioritized in training materials and style guides.

Dear city council members:
The city has proposed limiting library hours in order to
save money. I understand that the city budget is being
challenged at the moment, but no good will come of
denying children access to the library after school.
Children go to the library to learn and to get help with their
homework. As a single parent, I rely on the library as an
affordable place where I know my kids will be safe. Of all
the programs to cut, the library should not be your first
choice.

C. The city should stop ignoring voters' opinions about libraries
D. The city should expand library hours.

Which of the following best explains the division of Africa shown in the map?
O Most of Africa was controlled by indigenous peoples who rebelled against colonial powers.
O Many Eastern nations sought influence in the world by founding colonies in Africa.
O Colonial powers had acquired African territory by using methods such as annexation and overthrow.
O European nations had colonized an equal amount of territory throughout the African continent.

Answers

Answer:

The correct answer is C) Colonial powers had acquired African territory by using methods such as annexation and overthrow.

Explanation:

History has it that European countries rushed in to take over regions in Africa in order to gain strategic advantage globally.

History also has it that in 1870 only about 10% of Africa was under the formal control of Europeans. By 1914, this area had increased to approximately 1870.

For example, the Congo Free State was annexed in August 1908  and became known as the Belgian Congo.

Identify and discuss at least four major factors that led to the rise of African slavery in Britain’s North American colonies (especially in the South). Why did southern planters believe African slaves would be advantageous over other forms of labor, and how did this form of unfree labor come to look so remarkably different from other forms of slavery throughout history?

Answers

Answer:

. English liberty gained greater meaning and coherence for white people when they contrasted their status to that of the unfree class of enslaved black people in British America.

African slavery provided white colonists with a shared racial bond and identity.

Slavery and the British Empire

The transport of enslaved people to the American colonies accelerated in the second half of the 17th century. In 1660, English monarch Charles II created the Royal African Company to trade in enslaved people and African goods. His brother, James II, led the company before ascending the throne.

Under both these kings, the Royal African Company enjoyed a monopoly to transport enslaved people to the English colonies. Between 1672 and 1713, the company bought 125,000 captives on the African coast, losing 20 percent of them to death on the Middle Passage—the journey from the African coast to America

What were two ways that the industrial revolution cause Europeans to look for new colonies?

Answers

Answer:

1. It created a need for additional natural resources to be used in manufacturing;

2. It created the need to find new markets to sell European goods

Explanation:

The Industrial Revolution brought in new devices in the manufacturing processes, and everything was arranged much easier and quicker, with the same or even better quality. As the industry was growing, in order to continue with the growth, it needed more natural resources, but also new markets for selling the goods and make a bigger value. In order for both of these goals to be achieved so that the industry continues to strengthen, the industrial countries started colonizing new countries, on multiple continents, where they managed to find the natural sources they needed, and also the essential market for sale.
