5. How did Elie describe the men after the air raid?
6. What happened to the young man from Warsaw? Why?
7. How did Elie say the soup tasted the night the pipel (young servant boy) was hanged?

Answers

Answer:

The answer is D or number 4

Explanation:

The soup, according to Elie, tasted better than before. He claimed that the soup tasted like corpses following the hanging of the young pipel.

What were the only things in which Elie took an interest?

After the first hanging, he was relieved to still be alive, which is why the soup tasted better than before. The soup tasted like dead bodies since he was so depressed following the hanging of the young pipel.

They had just witnessed a terrible event, so they were unable to enjoy the delight of eating. The reader can see how rapidly his tone deteriorated, which helps with tone.

A young man from Warsaw who is physically fit and strong is hung for stealing. The deceased boy is made to march by everyone while they all turn to look into his eyes and at his "lolling tongue of death." Unaffected, Elielike the soup very well that night. When we talk about fashion we usually mean the popular style in dress or behavior. For most modern people fashion is a method of wearing to express themselves. What do you think about it? Write 80-90 words.

Answers

Answer:

Yes for the most part

Explanation:

It is not uncommon for people today to follow the latest trends in fashion. They do this simply because of the "fear of missing out" (FOMO) on the latest patterns of expressions.

For example, someone who excessively feels good about himself and wants others to recognize him or her may put on spotty colors such as red, pink, blue. The color of someone's dress would reveal an element of the individual's personality and disposition.

Explain whether her friends’ zombie trick helped the main character feel mentally prepared for the “Zombie 5K.” Use evidence from the text to support your answer.

Answers

Answer:

Her friends’ zombie trick did help the main character feel more mentally prepared for the “Zombie 5K.” Before her friends helped her out, she did not know what it would feel like to run while being chased by zombies. At the end of the story, she knows that she can complete the physical tasks of the race even while panicking and being chased. The text indicates this when Kristen says the main character “owned” the obstacle course while under pressure; the main character agrees and says she is not nervous about the race anymore. The fact that she says “anymore” indicates that she was nervous about the race before the zombie chase, but not now. This shows that she feels mentally prepared. The main character also starts laughing after she realizes how well she handled the obstacle course, even though she had been scared in the moment—this too indicates mental preparedness.

B. Lines intersecting at a right angle
O C. Points on an axis connected to form a line
D. Different lines forming a wedge

Answers

Answer: C

Explanation:

The statement that best describes a line graph is that the points on an axis are connected to form a line. Thus, the correct option for this question is C.

What is the significance of a line graph?

The significance of a line graph is determined by the fact that it is commonly used to display change over time as a series of data points connected by straight-line segments on two axes.

The line graph also helps to determine the relationship between two sets of values, with one data set always being dependent on the other set.

Line graphs can be used to express how something may alter over a specific period of time. These types of graphs are good for plotting data that has peaks (ups) and valleys (downs), or that was collected in a short time period.

Therefore, the statement that best describes a line graph is that the points on an axis are connected to form a line. Thus, the correct option for this question is C.

Answers

Answer:

As chapter two begins, Percy's main challenge appears to be the disintegration of his reality. He begins to question his sanity because no one else seems to know who Mrs. Dodds is.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Dodds seems to have been replaced by a Mrs. Kerr, whom Percy has never seen before. To make matters worse, Grover is not able to hide the fact that he remembers Mrs. Dodds and her attack on Percy in chapter one. Percy realizes that everyone is lying to him. At night, he has nightmares about Mrs. Dodds sporting "talons and leathery wings."

Because of his stress, Percy's grades suffer. Essentially, Percy's reality has been disrupted by supernatural events beyond his control. He feels alone, unsure, and frightened. Above all, he misses his mother but knows that he must try to finish out his term at school.

Later, however, Mr. Brunner tells Percy that he must leave Yancy. This adds to Percy's distress. His only comfort is that Grover is taking the same bus into Manhattan. The chapter ends with Percy facing an unknown threat from three old ladies who are knitting a giant pair of socks.

So, Percy's main challenges in chapter two arise from the supernatural events that have contributed to the disintegration of his reality.

Nights and Dragons—
From the memoir of author Abigail Prynne

1
I sit at my desk listening to thunder growl outside my window. Flashes of light burst through the darkness, and wind races past my window. The thrilling combination of sight and sound conjures up visions of dragons roaring proudly, breathing fire, and soaring across the midnight sky. Dragons first fascinated me when I was a little girl. They have followed me ever since. The magnificent creatures appeared in storybooks I read in the library, paintings I saw in museums, movies I watched in the theater, and the dreams I had in my sleep. By the time I was thirteen, one question consumed me. I wanted to know if dragons ever existed, so I set out on a quest for facts.
2
As I started my research, I discovered many skeptics. Scientists presented evidence to show why dragons could not—and did not—exist. They explained that it would be impossible for dragons to fly because they would be too big. They laughed at the idea of dragons breathing fire. They pointed out that no other animal has ever done this. They said that if dragons had lived, someone would have found remains somewhere in the world. No bones about it, there were plenty of logical explanations. It would have been easy for me to accept that the only place dragons ever existed was in the imaginations of those who believed.
3
I could have given up, but I thought about my grandmother. She always told me that "people who believe that science is the answer to everything are missing out on everything else." With her words in mind, I searched some more. There were many facts that hinted that dragons may not be fictional. I noticed that cultures across the world all described dragons in similar ways. This was odd because they had no way to communicate with each other. I found dragons mentioned in more than just stories. They appeared in old legal papers, in the travel logs of Marco Polo, and in the Bible. I saw that the Chinese calendar uses a different animal each year. Dragons are included along with eleven real animals. I began to believe it was a real possibility that all of these people were talking about a creature that actually existed.
4
With renewed hope that there was some truth to the legends, I looked for new research. I found that some experts disagreed with popular arguments against dragons. They suggested that a dragon could have four stomachs like a cow. If it created stomach gases like birds, it might create enough to lift itself off the ground. This would give it the ability to fly. If it forced out air when diving toward the earth, it might release gases which could ignite into flame. When the animal died, the stomachs would release strong acids that would dissolve its dead body over time. Biologists backed up these ideas with sketches and models based on known animals. Not everyone agreed with these ideas, but many of the things we accept about dinosaurs and other extinct species started the same way.
5
I doubt we will ever truly know whether dragons existed. There may always be two sides to the fiery debate. Some will say the stories come from active imaginations. Some will believe with all their hearts that the legendary creatures roamed our ancient world. I don't know for certain which side to believe, but the sound and fury of a night like this makes me smile. It rekindles my childhood dreams and keeps the exciting possibility alive.

Which best states the main idea of the text?

I have found no proof that dragons ever existed.
I have found some proof that dragons may have existed.
I have always wondered if dragons existed, and I hope they did.
I have not been able to decide if dragons ever existed or not.
